BRING YOUR EXPERTISE
Build something
others can build on
Connect your hardware, share an algorithm, improve an example, or fix a bug. Build on Holoscan’s Apache 2.0 licensed source and give the next developer a better starting point.
FOR HARDWARE MODULE VENDORS
Make your hardware
easy to build with
Bring cameras, sensors, acquisition boards, and other devices into Holoscan applications. Package the integration so developers can connect your hardware to their processing graph.
- Connect the device
Integrate acquisition and control through the appropriate device interface. Use Sensor Bridge for supported Ethernet-connected sensor paths.
- Package the integration
Bundle the operators, device configuration, dependencies, and a working example in a Holoscan Module.
- Document what works
Specify supported hardware, firmware, SDK versions, and setup steps. Include tests and a clear support path for your customers.
FOR ALGORITHM DEVELOPERS
Build your own
Holoscan Module
Turn signal processing, reconstruction, sensor fusion, or AI code into a component others can use. Keep your domain expertise in the algorithm and let Holoscan connect it to the application.
- Wrap your algorithm
Implement one or more operators with clear input and output ports, configuration parameters, and resource requirements.
- Make it reusable
Package your operators with their dependencies, tests, documentation, and a small example that shows how to connect them.
- Share and maintain it
Version your module, document SDK compatibility, and publish it from your repository. Follow the contribution guide to propose it for the ecosystem.
FOR APPLICATION DEVELOPERS
Share an application
others can run
Turn a working pipeline into an example the next developer can learn from. Show how sensors, processing, AI, and visualization come together in a complete Holoscan application.
- Start from a working graph
Build on HoloHub’s application template and keep the example focused on one workflow or integration.
- Make it runnable
Document hardware, data, SDK versions, and dependencies. Provide a container or build steps and sample data where you can.
- Explain the pipeline
Describe each operator and connection in the README so others can adapt the application to their own system.
